Terms of Use

These terms apply to the History & Time Tracker extension. Last updated: September 20, 2026.

1. Service and free use

1.1History & Time Tracker provides local history storage, browsing by date, search, browsing-time statistics, data cleanup, domain-list management, and CSV export.
1.2The Extension is free to use, with no download fee, subscription fee, or paid feature unlock. No account or payment information is required.
1.3The Extension supports Chrome 141 and later on desktop. Its features run locally in your browser.

2.1Install the Extension only in a browser environment that you are authorized to use and manage, and comply with applicable laws and the privacy rights of others.
2.2The Extension uses granted browser permissions to provide its features. You may adjust settings, decide whether to grant optional cleanup permissions, and disable or uninstall the Extension at any time.

3.1The Extension does not upload any data or personal information. Browsing records and settings remain on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details about data handling, permission use, and available controls.
3.2The Extension provides no cloud backup or cross-device sync. You may export CSV files, but the current version cannot restore records by importing them.

4.1Automatic cleanup is off by default and runs according to the retention period you choose when enabled. Manual cleanup uses the time range and data types you select.
4.2History cleanup may remove both extension records and Chrome history. Clearing cookies or site data may sign you out of websites. Select the cleanup scope carefully.
4.3Domain retention lists apply to extension records, not to Chrome history removed by time-range cleanup. Before cleanup or uninstallation, export any records you need to keep.

5.1Browsing time is an estimate of active use. History imported from before installation does not include browsing time.
5.2The features require a compatible browser, the relevant permissions, and available local storage space.

6.1Clearing or deleting records, resetting data, uninstalling the Extension, or removing local browser data may permanently erase related records. Neither the Extension nor the developer can recover deleted data.
6.2Before cleanup, confirm the time range and data types and export any records you need to keep. Clearing cookies or site data may sign you out of websites or remove locally stored website content.
6.3The Extension is provided free of charge without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for losses caused by user-initiated deletion, browser or system behavior, or device failure.

7.1The Extension's code and icons are subject to applicable intellectual-property rules and their respective licenses. Free use does not alter ownership of those rights. Third-party components and marks belong to their respective owners.
7.2History & Time Tracker is independently developed. Google Chrome and the Chrome Web Store are products and trademarks of Google; their names are used only to identify compatibility and distribution channels.

8.1If features or these terms change, this page and its date will be updated, and material changes will be disclosed in the relevant release information. You may stop using and uninstall the Extension at any time.
