How is this different from Chrome's built-in history?+
The extension stores its own browsing history and lets you view records by date and hour, search by keyword, and inspect visit details. It also provides daily, weekly, and monthly statistics, browsing-time share, heatmaps, configurable cleanup periods, domain lists, and CSV export.
Can I keep my history for the long term?+
Yes. The extension stores records in its own local database, and automatic cleanup is off by default. Records remain until you delete them, uninstall the extension, or remove its local browser data. There is no cloud backup, so important records should be exported periodically.
Is my browsing history uploaded to a server?+
No. The extension does not upload any data or personal information. Your browsing history and settings remain in your local browser, and no account is required.
Can the extension calculate time for history from before installation?+
On first use, the extension imports history that Chrome still retains, but those records have no active time. Time tracking begins when the extension starts running and cannot reconstruct actual browsing time from before installation.
How is browsing time recorded?+
Browsing time is an estimate of how long you actively use a page. History from before installation does not include browsing time.
Can I exclude certain websites from history?+
Yes. Add a domain to the Do Not Record list in the cleanup settings, and future visits will not be saved. Existing records must be deleted separately. You can also set a retention period and specify domains that automatic cleanup should preserve.
Can data be recovered after cleanup or uninstallation?+
No. The extension has no cloud backup or recycle bin. Cleanup may also affect Chrome's browsing history, and uninstalling the extension removes its local data. Export important records to CSV first. The current version cannot restore records from a CSV file.
